Straight from Mexico, chairs by La Silla Acapulco were the first in the world. The 'Acapulco' chair was invented in 1955' by Don Jose. When Marilyn Monroe discovered them in the early 1960's, the brand was brought to world infamy. Since then, many have tried and failed to imitate the design.
